BMW 1-Series Review and Specification



The appearance
of BMW 1-Series can be seen after photos of BMW's newest car released on the mass media. What about engine specifications of the BMW 1-Series?

With everything about the BMW 1-Series that already famous, it is time to discuss the full details of this car. The new model will arrive this year ini Frankfurt Motor Show. Reportedly, will be very different from previous designs.

BMW 1-Series is actually based on 3-Series platform, but has a lot of development. 1-Series offers a larger cabin and large leg room. These two aspects make this generation feared by hatchback fans.

Under the hood, BMW decided to launch the 2012 1-Series exclusively with four-cylinder engine. A five-door hatchback is available with a pair of 1.6-liter gasoline engine with direct injection that offers 136 hp to 170 hp in the 116i and 118i. This should be the first time that a BMW with 18 that sounds interesting.

In a family of diesel, all engines with 2.0 liter capacity that offers between 116 and 186 hp in the 120d. As happened with the X1 and the Z4, topping model comes in the form 128iS who receive engine 245 hp turbocharged 2.0-liter.

The engine mixed between a six-speed manual or an optional eight-speed automatic from ZF. In addition it also carries a number of fuel-saving technologies like start-stop engine and regenerative braking.

The specifications are for the European version as the first market for the 1-Series. Examples of the range could be introduced in United States. Currently, there is no official price information BMW 1-Series.
